The grape shape is similar to a tear and hen fully ripe it releases drops of juice, hence the name. Dried grapes are added after the first racking, inducing another round of fermentation. It was often sweet in years gone, but today, dry is the new black Morro d’Alba.
The enticing aromatics grab your attention, it is floral and spicy as well. A bit tannic, though it is not biting and gracefully floats on the palate.
